Writer of Cool Cleveland's Kucinich Beat

This is the speech I made when I won the Delegate spot at the district caucus

I'm Charlene Coates. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Dennis. I have voted for the past 15 years, but no one has inspired me to do more than Dennis Kucinich. Since I was seven I have seen Dennis actively work for the people, and now I wish to do my part for him. I am currently very involved in volunteering for the campaign and have been to most every local Kucinich event since the campaign started. I was the one who had the idea to host a musical benefit here in Cleveland. Only a few weeks after I contacted Congressional Rep. Marty Gelfand and the Beachland Ballroom we raised $7,000 by getting the talented Michelle Shocked to take the Red-eye from LA to perform in Dennis' hometown. With matching funds I helped Dennis raise $14,000 locally, as well as raising his local media presence, with local newspapers and television stations which covered the event.

I am also the writer for Cleveland's only media outlet which guarantees Kucinich weekly coverage. Cool Cleveland.com is the new and very popular newsletter which is emailed to over 10,000 clevelanders every Wednesday. Cool Cleveland's founder Thomas Mulready also has Cool Cleveland columns in the Free Times and Cleveland Magazine. I am happy to say that each story in the Kucinich Beat has so far been rated in the Top 5 most read-articles.

I firmly believe that Dennis Kucinich is the most important leader of the most important movement in our history. Dennis is the King, Kennedy and FDR of our 21st century. Dennis is our only hope. Please allow me to exercise this belief in Boston.

Thank you.
